JBC presents the MN2870 Nitrogen station. This station combines 2 ways of transferring heat:
- Firstly by direct contact between the soldertip and the joint just like any soldering iron.
- Secondly the heat is being transferred by hot nitrogen. The nitrogen flows through the handpiece and is heated by the residual heat from the cartridge.
The advantages are multiple: Increase of process speed by up to 30%. Less thermal stress to the PCB and component. The soldering process can be performed at lower temperatures.
Nitrogen reduces oxidation of the tips and enables soldering with a reduces amount of flux.
The MN 2870 is a complete, ready to use package, including power supply, nitrogen control unit, stand, tool and a cartridge. The nitrogen control unit switches the nitrogen air flow along with the sleep mode. In this way the nitrogen consumption is being reduced to the minimum neccesary. The flow can be ajusted between 0,5 and 3,5 litres per minute. We suggest that you set it between 1 and 2 litres for the best result.
